On the morning of our second day in Washington DC I said, “Let’s just go to Arlington Cemetery and then walk the other half of the National Mall that we didn’t get to yesterday. Then we’ll figure out what to do in the afternoon and evening.” Well that took us the entire day! With all the stops for breastfeeding sessions and little cry sessions (from Simon), that was all we could squeeze in. But it was such good weather and kinda nice to take things at the slower pace.
It was challenging navigating the stroller and all of our stuff, but it was way easier than I thought traveling with a baby. Simon was such a good sport napping on the go, feeding in noisy locations, sleeping in his travel bassinet and being patient at restaurants.
Changing of the guards for the Tomb of the Unknown Solider^
Daddy long legs^
For some reason Dave was loving all of these concrete buildings… 🤷🏻‍♀️
Simoncito practicing his smile at the Capitol.
Dave in front of the White House. Is it disappointing to anyone else that this is the closest you can get to it?
Diaper change. Getting risky without putting a mat down underneath.
Watching the sunset near the Washington Monument.
And that was a wrap for the day for obvious reasons^
