SUMMER 2017 RECAP

Dave and I traveled so much this summer!  We went to San Diego in May, San Francisco in June, and Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland in July and August. We also went on a couple of camping, backpacking, and cabin trips.

I chopped my hair a few inches shorter (who ever would have thought that would happen?) and Dave decided to grow his back out. I cracked open my first fantasy novel, Mistborn, and Dave has been cruising through a few books, Xenocide, Stasiland, The Tipping Point, Children of the Mind, and Outliers. I have found a new appreciation for podcasts and have become one of those people who frequently start sentences with, “I once heard in a podcast that…” and Dave was called to the Young Men’s presidency and has found himself on Wednesday nights in the company of teenage boys.

We decided to start doing the “Video Diary Entries” that Dave did back when we were dating. I was recently debating whether or not I should buy a prime 28mm lens. I told Dave if I buy it, then we need to start bringing it around more. Because it’s so small and light, I feel like I can bust it out and not bring a lot of attention to myself holding a big lens. It’s perfect for simply documenting our lives. We tried to use the automatic settings our camera has, and it turned out so bad haha. We decided to just use manual settings for these videos too.
