Miraflores (& Cats)

So many pictures about to happen, I know. I went to Miraflores, a district of Lima, and there were so many photo ops. I have never seen any place like it before. I had seen it from a distance and seen the people paragliding from off of the cliff, but not up close and in person. The green there was amazing.

I have meet a bunch of cool people here. My first night in Lima I arrived at the volunteer house at 2am. My roommates were sleeping and so I tried to be so quiet coming in. I had no idea what they looked like, where they were from, how old they were, nothing. Heck, I didn’t even know what my room or bed looked like! When I woke up the next day I was soooo relieved to find that they were nice and cute. Carly, in the yellow shirt, is one of my roommates along with a girl from England named Lucy and a girl from Switzerland names Margot. It’s been so funny to hear everyone’s accents and there has been a lot of, “how do you pronounce this word?” questions going on here.

We walked to a park that had SO many cats roaming around everywhere. I have no idea why they made that park their home, but now people come and bring cat food. The animals here are so nice and friendly. The people are too.
