Camping

We drove down to Moab one weekend to camp and hike. I almost chickened out because I was nervous to sleep in a tent while pregnant but decided to go for it anyway and I’m glad I did. Sleeping wasn’t too bad and we made some fun memories. We stayed at a pretty nice camp site that had decent bathrooms, showers, a convenience store, a playground and a pool. We took advantage of all the amenities (only me with the shower though).

On our way in, we stopped in downtown Moab for dinner and walked around the shops. There was one shop that had some cute little stuffed animals and I picked a little mouse out for our little girl. Sime wanted something too so we let him choose a toy car. He chose an orange mustang and toting that around was probably the highlight of the trip for him.

When it got dark, Simon was BoUnCiNg off the walls of the tent. He just would not wind down for bed. Honestly we were probably being so loud and disrupting the other campers. Wasn’t self aware enough to think about that for a while – whoops. Eventually we gave up and just went with it and he finally fell asleep around 11pm both nights.

Also it was SO hot during the night. I should not have worried about us being cold.

We explored Arches National Park, but I’ll share those photos in another post.
