Yosemite

I think it was only last year I was talking to my older brother (who couldn’t even come with us) about cool places to go hiking and camping and I mentioned “Yo-smight.” I felt so dumb when he told me “uhh… you mean Yo-sem-it-ee.” haha whoops I guess I had only seen the word written and not spoken until last year. But my family got around to going there. My older brother couldn’t come because he had a midterm during the time we were gone. That really was too bad because he would have loved it. 

Cort’s face, and really outfit and pose, is hilarious. He looks crazy and it’s awesome.

Our first hike was to Crystal Lake, but we could see Lake George from below. A couple of George’s in front of Lake George.

We didn’t camp. We actually stayed in a nice hotel. We got the best of both worlds for a trip really. Hiking and doing outdoor things during the day and staying in a nice place at night. 

My dad loves trees. Especially if they are particularly big, tall, or old. Some of the Sequoias in Tuolumne Grove were almost 4,000 years old. We were sad that the part of the park where Grizzly Giant is was closed for the summer. That tree is the biggest one in Yosemite. 

This is Devil’s Post Pile. It’s cool to see such an industrial look in nature.

And the famous El Capitan. I gave it a good salute.
