My First Mother’s Day

Raising a child is hard work that gets no breaks. The other day, I heard someone say that their husband said, “Staying home with kids is harder than going to work, because at work you at least get a lunch break and get to poop alone.” Even when he’s napping or someone else is watching him, he’s still on my mind. Although sometimes I wish I could get my work done interrupted or spontaneously go out without packing a whole diaper bag, I’m so glad much of my time is spent with this little guy. It’s an honor to be his mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mother figures in my life and all women who help raise children. You deserve a back massage.
