Still a little bit in shock that we will be welcoming a baby into this world at the end of August!! We found out on Christmas Eve and have been trying to wrap our minds around it ever since! It definitely seems more and more real as we have shared the news with our friends and family.
During our little anniversary trip to Park City in November, we were shopping around on main street and went into a store that had the cutest little baby things. We bought a tiny hand-sewn teddy bear for our future child. I didn’t realize it would be in use so soon! Now I’ve propped it up in our window sill and it reminds me every day that we will have a little human cuddled up to it in a few months. Well that and the nausea! The morning sickness is another constant reminder that there really is a baby growing in my belly. The food aversions have been such a pain! But I hear it’s all worth it.
We had our second doctor’s appointment last week and were surprised our doctor did another ultrasound. It actually looked like a baby this time. It was INSANE watching it bob around in there. It even flashed us its whole hand at one point. Luckily we were recording it and I’ve watched the video over and over. Apparently I could take a blood test to find out the gender, but we are going to be patient and wait a few more weeks.
Dave’s brother Daniel took some photos of us on Saturday. Of course, Dave needed to have at least one funny one. One of us is 13 weeks here!
Now I’m about 14 weeks and my clothes are starting to feel really tight. Either that, or having anything around my stomach makes me wanna puke! Either way, I’m pretty uncomfortable. Uncomfortable, nervous, and excited!
