One year older and wiser too!
I think I’m already to the point now that “old” people get to when they don’t want anymore birthdays. I used to never understand that growing up because birthdays are so fun (I mean presents, hello?!). But I don’t want Dave to have any more birthdays either. I’ll gladly give him presents, but no more getting older.
I’ve loved watching Dave explore new hobbies this year. He finally started flying FPV drones, which he had been wanting to get into for a long time. He has crazy spatial awareness and is so calm—two qualities you need to fly FPV drones. And he started really enjoying caring for our lawn. He loves watching videos about how to grow nice grass and has turned our lawn around in a short period of time (I admit it was something I told him wasn’t possible). I’m so proud of him for learning new skills and hobbies. I can’t wait to see him excel in them even more this year, and who know, learn something else entirely new!
Here is a post from his last birthday, when he was flying a regular drone and our lawn was still in pretty bad shape.
Every year for both of our birthdays we take some portraits. This year Dave’s birthday fell on a Monday so after work and after opening presents we quickly went on a walk around the block and took some photos before getting Indian food with his family.
I love you Dave! And I hope you’re enjoying your new Apple Watch!
