FALL 2017 RECAP

We are well into winter now, but I want to take a second and recap fall. I’m gonna do it in list form because I’ve always been a list kinda gal.

1. We decided to wait on moving because we feel like we should save a bit more and, more than anything, love living in Sugar House.
2. We went to Lagoon and rode Cannibal for the first time and were honestly shocked with how thrilling it was.
3. For Halloween we bought some overpriced zebra ears and wore them to our ward Halloween party. We carved pumpkins with my family, finished the second season of Stranger Things, and went to a corn maze with our friends.
4. We went to Las Vegas with a group of friends to see the Arcade Fire concert. It was only a week after the shooting at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas. The lead singer, Win Butler, thanked everyone for not being afraid to go to the concert when such a horrible event took place at a concert across the street the week before.
5. Dave turned 29 and received 3 pairs of cool shoes.
6. I started regularly going to my mom’s class at The Bar Method.
7. Dave finally got surgery on his torn meniscus. He had to go four weeks on crutches and that made it hard for him to do anything. We are still unsure if the surgery worked, but we are hoping and praying.
8. We celebrated our one year anniversary by going to the hotel we stayed at last year and really treated ourselves. We got in the hot tub, got pedicures, saw a movie, ate yummy food and treats (tim tams of course), and just chilled.
9. I went to Paris with my mother-in-law and finally saw the Eiffel Tower with my own eyes. I also ate a nutella crepe. I’ve always wanted to go to Paris and do those things.
10. We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents’ house with the George side of my family and saw the movie Coco later that night.
11. We went to Phoenix with my family to go to (and film) my cousin Chad’s wedding. He got married in the middle of the desert and we saw quite a spectacular sunset.
