Seattle

We started our day in Seattle at the Seattle Center and checked out the Space Needle and International Fountain. We sat and watched the fountain shoot water into the air. We also got a nice view of the fountain spraying a poor mother with her toddler in a stroller. Her stroller’s brakes were locked and she couldn’t get away fast enough—her son was an uhhnhappy kid.

My favorite part was Pike’s Place Market. Maybe it’s because we picked up some cherries and desserts along the way, or maybe it’s because that place had way cool vibes. Of course, we had to check out the gum wall and I even stuck my last piece of gum on the there. Goodness, I’m a Polar Ice Extra gum addict, but it was worth it.

The next morning the Gay Pride Parade went past the front of our hotel and our room had a good viewpoint of it. I was watching it with my mom and Cort and as it passed, the song “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore was playing. I said, “Oh, is that supposed to be Macklemore?…” and then it hit me, “…or is it Macklemore?!?!?” I’m still not entirely sure, but I think it’s safe to say that it was totally him. He was sitting on top of a nice car with a bodyguard and a cameraman accompanying him. Plus, we were in his hometown.

Before we were off to Canada, Tay flew into Seattle to drive with us. He had been off touring with his band somewhere in the Midwest. I definitely don’t travel as much as he does, but gosh I like it.
